Description
Summary:Estimation of the area of paddy fields is required to determine rice production levels, which in turn influence food policies. To obtain the estimate, the Area Frame Sampling (AFS) method can be used to acquire accurate information quickly. Result from the AFS method can reduce bias from the estimates of the previous method. The sampling technique used is aligned systematic sampling on a square grid and distance threshold in a stratified AFS. The area used for the AFS is divided into 3 levels paddy fileds. The thesis focuses on estimation of paddy field area and its analysis. Analysis is done by evaluating the accuracy of the estimation with the coefficient of variation. Coefficient of variation (????????) is a statistics based on the ratio between dispersion and centralization data. Data used for estimation paddy fields and determination of ???????? is based on the result of estimation with the aforementioned method by Central Bureau of Statistics in the January until September 2018 period. Areas with the biggest estimated value are located in East Java, Central Java, West Java, and South Sulawesi. On the other hand, analysis with ???????? shows that a smaller ???????? implies a better result obtained from the AFS method.
