Summary: | Earthquake is a natural disaster that could cause casualties, as well as property and
infrastructure damage. Eastern Indonesia is an area in Indonesia that has high
earthquake rate due to its location within the subduction zone. In order to calculate
the risk of financial loss on property and infrastructure due to an earthquake, a
specific Catasrophe Model for earthquake is used. This Final Project will be focused
on Hazard Module by modelling the moment magnitude of mainshock earthquakes
in Eastern Indonesia megathrust, that is the M13-M16 segments according to
Indonesia Hazard Map 2017. It was discovered that the moment magnitude of the
mainshocks earthquake in those four megathrust segments the Generalized Pareto
distribution (GPD) with the corresponding parameters. This Final Project will also
give an example of determining the distribution of peak ground acceleration (PGA)
in Ambon City Hall and Manado Mayor's Office using an attenuation equation. By
using the GPD of segments M13 through M16, for average recurrence intervals of
200, 250, 450, and 500 years, the Poisonnian Probability of Exceedance, ????????????????????(???? >
0.02600, ????) for period T = 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,50 years at Ambon City Hall and Manado
Mayor Office could be calculated. Hazard Curve for a period T and an average
recursion interval value, can be visualized from the accquired Poisonnian
Probability of Exceedance. |
