Summary:b>Abstrack</b><p align=\"justify\">The disposal of solid waste materials, such as those of dredging materials, residue of offshore mining activities, etc., into sea is increasing nowadays. To predict the hazards due to it, computer simulation, based on mathematical model, of solid waste material distribution at sea is first carried out. <br /> <br /> This model consists of two categories of area of distributions, i.e. nearfield and farfield area. The nearfield is an important area of distribution the first time this solid waste material is discharged to sea. Using computer simulation result, we can predict the direction of distribution and the concentration of this material at certain location; this is extremely important for the next environmental planning and controlling.
