While the Affine method is a transformation method that results in objects not conforming to the object before being transformed. The principle of coordinate transformation is used in registration activities to combine point clouds from laser scanning. Some of the measuring devices that can be used are the Terrestrial Laser Scanner (TLS) and Handheld Scanner (HS). The difference in the density of point clouds from the two devices causes the process of integrating the data resulting in a not good RMSE. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the quality of integration of TLS and HS data by using the transformation of Helmert and Affine methods with the help of setting targets on the scanning object as a tie point. The study begins with the process of point clouds acquisition using TLS and HS. Point clouds obtained from each of these devices are then extracted, filtered, and registered. Then TLS and HS data integration is done with the Helmert and Affine transformation methods. Based on the results of the study, using a target as a tie point can help the selection of points in the point clouds when the registration process becomes easier and more accurate. The RMSE value resulting from the integration of TLS and HS data with the Helmert transformation method is 0.199 m and the Affine transformation method is 0.062 m. HS data that is integrated with the Helmert transformation method will maintain its initial form (conform) so that it does not blend together with the TLS data. Whereas HS data that is integrated with the Affine transformation method will follow the form of TLS data which is used as a reference for the transformation process so that it will blend together with TLS data. It can be concluded that the integration of TLS and HS data by using the Affine transformation method can improve the quality of the integration data. text |
