Description
Summary:Natural disaster is a phenomenon that often occur in Indonesia. The difficulty of predicting the occurrence of a disaster has a negative impact on humans. In minimizing losses caused by a disaster, effective SAR (Search and Rescue) actions are needed. Difficulty in communication cause an ineffectiveness of SAR actions. The damage on telecommunication infrastructure causes by disaster often make common communication devices such as mobile phones cannot function properly. An alternative replacement of communication device used by the SAR team right now only support voice communication which make the SAR action is still ineffective. Creating a communication system that can monitor the location of the device, provide warnings, and can communicate both ways could increase the effectiveness of SAR action. In this final project we created a communication system named Dial.Lo. Dial.Lo is a communication system intended to help the SAR action. This system consists of two components: Dial. Lo Nodes and Dial.Lo Servers. Both devices will use LoRa module as their front-end module RF. A System Interface is very necessary to help user in using the features on both components. The research method used for making system interface are literature studies and experimental studies. The result of this research is a system interface that can be used by users to access features in Dial.Lo Node and Dial.Lo Server. The following features that users can access are message communication, display and deleted received message, send an alert from Dial.Lo Server to Dial.Lo Node and Display Dial.Lo Node location on a map.
