INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/48021 Indonesia is a country that is very prone to disasters including earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, landslides, floods, tornadoes and so on. During the 2007-2014 period on Java Island, 7,340 disaster events were recorded including floods, landslides, tornadoes, fires, drought, industrial accidents and earthquakes. For DKI Jakarta and West Java Provinces, several major disasters occurred, such as the 2007 Jakarta flood, the 2009 West Java earthquake, and the 2012 Jakarta flood. The provinces of DKI Jakarta and West Java are centers of growth for large and medium industriesFor this reason, this study will look at how disasters in the provinces of DKI Jakarta and West Java affect the large and medium industrial sectors in the provinces of DKI Jakarta and West Java by using economic indicators. This research was conducted using multiple regression analysis with 31 regencies / cities in DKI Jakarta and West Java provinces in the range of 2007 - 2014 with a total of 7873 industrial activities. The variables used are industrial productivity as the dependent variable, and the total industrial raw materials per year, the number of industrial workers per year, and the number of disaster events per year as an independent variable. The results showed that the total raw materials and the number of industrial workers contributed significantly to industrial productivity and had a positive correlation and the number of events was negatively correlated whereby an increase in the number of disaster events would reduce overall industrial productivity and the type of industry with the largest proportion, namely the food industry , apparel, and rubber, articles of rubber and plastic. text
