Being located on the Pacific Ring of Fire (an area with a high degree of tectonic activity), Indonesia has to cope with the constant risk of volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, floods and tsunamis. The location of the country on the equator makes Indonesia have climatic conditions with the same rainy and dry season. In these climatic conditions, at the turn of the season Indonesia is prone to floods and tornados. With the high threat of the disasters, effective and efficient mitigation processes are needed to reduce damage. For Search and Rescue action by utilizing the application of Information and Communication Technology, this thesis develops a communication system called Dial.Lo. Dial.Lo is a LoRa (Long Range) based communication system that can send text messages, location data, alarm signals. Dial.Lo connected to GPS to obtain location data, LoRa to process the sending and receiving data. The test results show that all components of Dial.Lo can be integrated in conducting communication. In detail Dial.Lo node can send text messages and location data to Dial.Lo server, Dial.Lo node can send messages to other Dial.Lo node without wrong purpose, Dial.Lo node can display the GUI on the screen, Dial.Lo node will sound an alarm if that receive a danger message. text |
