| Summary: | Geopark Ciletuh-Palabuhanratu (GCP) was designated as UNESCO Global Geopark
(UGG) in 2018 because this region has a very high-value of geo-heritage, biodiversity,
and cultural diversity (BPGCP, 2017). However, its continuity as UGG experiences
several obstacles such as the transition of authority with the importance of completing
13 recommendations given by UNESCO in preparation for the revalidation carried
out in 2021 which determines its status as a UGG can continue or not. Because of that,
a strategy and priority are needed in the development of the Ciletuh-Palabuhanratu
Geopark within the available time period to ensure the sustainability of its status as a
UGG. This research method uses a mixed-method approach with descriptive research
through a combination of SWOT analysis methods with the Analytical Hierarchy
Process (AHP) with validation using the expert opinion method. Where the results of
the programs obtained from the community training and education strategy are
prioritized, followed by tourism development and finally partnership cooperation.
From this study, it was found that the combination of the SWOT method with AHP can
assist in multi-criteria decision making in the preparation of strategic plans. |
