Description
Summary:The inadequate number of libraries, uneven distribution of libraries, far library distances, limited service hours, and less diverse library collections are considered as factors that cause Indonesia got low ranking at PISA 2018 and a survey by Central Connecticut State University 2016 in the field of measuring adequate library support facilities. The peer-to-peer concept which has been widely applied to financial technology services can also be applied to library services. This study aims to create a design and implementation of solutions in the form of applications to facilitate the search and order of books that belong to other users. The development of this application is not only done on the software side but also on the business side. Besides that, the application must be designed and can be used by the target users as soon as possible. Lean startup is used as a development methodology with the steps are determining user target, identifying user needs, identifying product value, determining MVP (minimum viable product) feature, developing MVP, and testing MVP. Testing is done not only in terms of the technical application but also in testing product-market fit. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the Bookaholic Indonesia application can facilitate users in finding and ordering books that belong to other users with ease and valuable score that has the same score, 8 out of 10. Both the Bookaholic Indonesia application and the application developed with a customer-focused approach are suitable developed using lean startup methodology. This method can produce applications that are developed not only on the software side but also on the business side. In addition, the application has been designed and can be used as soon as possible by the target user because each iteration of the application already meets the user's needs.
