West Java International Airport (BIJB) is a way to accommodate the increasing flight trends in Indonesia. After two years of operation, BIJB has a problem, which is the lack of passengers that is seen from the load factor that tends to be low. Various attempt to increase the number of passengers have been made, but they have not been successful. This can be caused because of the intervention has not considered the needs of passengers. This study will focus on one of the factors that influence the use of airports that is seen from the perspective of potential airport users, which is accessibility. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of accessibilty on people’s preferences in using BIJB with Bandung City as the research area. The data that needed for this study was collected through a stated preference questionnaire and analysed using binomial logit model. The result of the study shows that accessibility that is represented by time and cost to travel to BIJB as well as alternative flights on BIJB has been proven as significant factors that influence the preference of using BIJB. These accessibilty factors can explain 17% of the airport usage. Based on the existing accessibility conditions, the people of Bandung City are already willing to use BIJB as their origin airport. Therefore, to increase the number of BIJB’s user, intervention can be done to the accessibilty factors that have proven significant on people’s preference in using BIJB.
