THE ANALYSIS OF ORGANIZATION READINESS IN FACING BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES NEW CAPITAL CITY PROJECT OF INDONESIA (CASE STUDY: PT. WSK CONSTRUCTION COMPANY)

The Indonesian government is committed to continuously accelerating equitable infrastructure development to all corners of the country. One of the major projects in the construction industry is the relocation project of Indonesia's capital city. This is one of the opportunities for PT. WSK Construction Company which is a big player in construction industry. This research was conducted with the aim to determine the organization’s readiness in facing business opportunities in the new capital city of Indonesia by evaluating organization performance. In the process of analysis, the authors use approach 3 model, from theories namely the theory of agile organization as a model 1, organization capability as a model 2 and organization health index as model 3 to assess the performance of the organization. To find out what elements are used, researchers previously conducted an external analysis with PESTEL and Porter's 5 forces. From the results of external analysis, it was concluded that to face the project of Indonesia's new capital city, the construction industry must be more responsive, innovative, transparent, and need harmonious collaboration. The author evaluates all data and analysis results from the model 1,2,3, using an impact matrix and variable scores. This is done to determine the right business solution towards the business issue according to the priority. The results of this study indicate that the elements of strategy in model 1 and seek related change in model 2 are in the critical quadrant which means there is a need for improvement. To ensure that PT. WSK Construction Company is ready to capture the Indonesian nation’s capital city project, PT. WSK Construction Company must be sensitive to elements of strategy and seek related change.
