Changes in land cover can occur if land use is not in accordance with the initial designation (natural conditions) of the land. One example of land cover changes that occurred in the area of West Java Province was when in 2005 a land which was originally a field or moor turned into a residential area in 2010. The phenomenon of land cover changes that occur can be modeled using spatial regression methods, one of which is Geographically Weighted-Binary Logistic Regression (GW-BLR). This spatial regression method can model the phenomenon of land cover changes that are binary (change or not change) while still considering variations in local characteristics possessed by each region. In using the GW-BLR method, determining the optimum bandwidth value is very important in order to produce an estimation model that is sufficient to represent land cover changes that occur. The results of this study indicate that land cover changes that occur at each observation point in the area of West Java Province have optimum bandwidth values that vary from a range of 17-1,000 points with an overall accuracy value of 90.37%. This indicates that land cover changes that occurred in the area of West Java Province have a variety of different local characteristics. The value of 45 can be the optimum bandwidth for all observations of land cover changes in the area of West Java Province with an overall accuracy value of 90.09%. text
