Description
Summary:Abstract:

The textile wastewater contains of pollution materials with high concentration, that materials can influence on growth paddy, structure and texture of soil. In addition, wastewater of textile industries contain any toxic metals ion, that ions can affect to health. To anticipate of negative impact, evaluation of influence on contaminated soil of textile wastewater on growth and yield paddy plant (Oryza sativa Linn) and its uptake are important.

The investigation was conducted in laboratory greenhouse using serial pot paddy plants. The experiment was performed in a Split Plot Design (n=3) and arranged based on plot with the soil condition of control and contaminated soil. The influence of textile wastewater arranged based on sixth level with variety of wastewater concentration of 0 ml/L (P6), 184 ml/L (P5), 235 ml/L (P4), 470 ml/L (P3), 789 ml/L (P2) and pure of wastewater (P 1).

The results of the research showed that the concentration of wastewater (P1, P2, P3 and P4) to influence on decrease of unhusked rice dry weight on uncontaminated soil each are 11.5%, 7.08%, 8.41% and 6.64 % to control (P6). The influence soil contaminated (P1,P2,P3,P4 and P5) to decrease of unhusked rice dry weight each are 46.02%, 37.61%, 17.26%, 19.91% and 14.26%. Influence concentration of wastewater on uncontaminated soil to decrease of unhusked rice dry weight was significant. The influence of textile wastewater on contaminated soil to decrease of unhusked rice dry weight each are 79.38% (P6), 79.72%(P5), 90% (P4), 86.67%(P3), 98.88%(P2) and 98.37% (P1) to control.

Uptake Cd on plant straw was very high at all factor (P) with prosentase untill 642.4% on PI at contaminated soil, while uptake Cr on plant root was very highest (140.28%) at P1 in contaminated soil compare to control. The increase boron uptake on root, straw and grain of paddy were very high, the uptake boron on plant root each were 622.75%(P I), 495.20%(P2), 417.48% (P3), 413.58%(P4), 152.22%(P5) and 258.44% (P6) compare to control. The uptake boron on straw each were 936.16%(P1), 567.63%(P2), 369.36%(P3), 381.86%(P4), 214.94%(P5) and 156.96%(P6) , while uptake boron on paddy grain each were 424.73%(P1), 227.46%(P2), 116.53%(P3), 93.02%(P4) and 174.84%(P5) compare to control.
