Description
Summary:The research area is a tourism area located at Cipatat District, West Bandung Regency with coordinates of 6°48'59.97"S, 107°24'49.55"E - 6°50'48.42"S, 107°28'12.52"E. This research aims to perform rock mass classification, slope stability analysis and reinforcement optimizing for slopes at this tourism area. The methods conducted in this research were field observation, rock sampling and scanline survey at four slopes, which are Tebing Gunung Masigit, Tebing Citatah 48, Tebing Citatah 125 and Tebing Citatah 90. In this case, rock mass classification referred to Rock Mass Rating (RMR), then followed by slope stability analysis which consists of kinematics method for determining the probability of failure type on each slope and Slope Mass Rating (SMR) method for determining stability condition as well as suggested reinforcements. According to field observation, it was obtained limestone lithology at all site of the slopes. The index property testing on all limestone slopes showed the average of SHRV between 40,36 - 42,04. The physical property testing showed unit weight value of the limestones between 23,6 – 26,1 kN/m3. The uniaxial compressive strength of the limestones were in range 64 – 85 MPa. RMR classification showed the rock mass category of class II (good) for all slopes. The kinematic analysis showed wedge failure at Tebing Gunung Masigit, planar (no limit) failure at Tebing Citatah 125 and direct toppling at Tebing Citatah 48 and Tebing Citatah 90. SMR classification showed category of class III (partially stable) at Tebing Citatah 48 and Tebing Citatah 90, on the other hand, it showed category of class IV (unstable) at Tebing Gunung Masigit and Tebing Citatah 125. Reinforcements are needed to apply at every slope to minimalize the potential of landslide disasters. According to SMR classification, some reinforcements were suggested to maintain the stability of the slopes, which are anchors, shallow/deep drainage, nets, bolting, shotcrete and dental concrete.
