Summary:The Ministry of Home Affairs recommends that each village develop a Village Profile based on regulation Number 51 The year 2007 concerning the development of community-based rural areas. However, the system contained in the Village Profile is more widely used to serve one-way reporting to a higher government, thereby hampering community participation. Given this context, a smart village geographic information system is needed to help village staff rely on a participatory approach to the community to develop and implement strategies to improve the economic, social, and rural environment. In this research case study, a spatial database model was created so the government could develop the village potential of Desa Sayang Jatinangor which is an educational village with the village environment as the Higher Education Area. This research comes to build a spatial database village information system (GIS) model through PostgreSQL / PostGIS software with a case study in the village government of Sayang, Jatinangor. This study tries to apply GIS technology to the village profile as a spatial database information application that can integrate the data contained in the Village Map with the data needed in the data collection of village potential. The final result of this study is the geographical information system of village potential to support smart villages in the form of a basic village database model that presents information related to village potential that is useful as basic information in the Village Musrenbang.
