Description
Summary:The Mataloko geothermal field is located in the Ngada district area, Flores Island, East Nusa Tenggara Province. PT PLN (Persero) as the developer of WKP Mataloko, in the future will develop the field by constructing Mataloko PLTP units 2 and 3 totaling 2x10 MW in 2022 and 2023, in addition to the re-activation of Mataloko PLTP 1x1.5 MW. In connection with the plan, at the end of 2019, data collection and further geoscience studies will be carried out in the Mataloko area. In general, the results of the study showed significant differences compared to previous studies. Reservoir characteristics and the amount of reserve at geothermal field must be determined precisely, where one of the underlying things is the analysis and study of geoscience of the field. In this research, a numerical model of the Mataloko geothermal field will be updated based on the latest studies and data to enable the model to be closer to the real field conditions. This numerical model is needed to calculate field energy reserves more precisely so that field development plans can be implemented more precisely as well. The Mataloko geothermal field numerical model was built using a combination of TOUGH2 V.2 simulator and graphical interface software. The results of the model calibration at both the natural state and production matching stages show that the model can better describe the conditions of the Mataloko geothermal reservoir compared to the previous model. Calculation of field resources using the Plackett-Burman Design calculation method produces a value of 25.7 MWe. Based on the simulation model, it is estimated that drilling targets from well targeting planned by the developer will lead to less productive areas.
