Description
Summary:Way Sekampung Dam is a dam where located between Batutegi Dam and Argoguruh Weir, located in Pringsewu District, Lampung Province. The catchment area of Way Sekampung Dam is 412,408 km2. This dam was planned to be able to increase the irrigation area and water needs in the downstream area. There are spillway that function to drain excess water during floods. The body of Way Sekampung Dam was planned to have type of rock fill with an upright core in the middle which has a height is 49 m with a dam peak width is 12 m, while the design data has a height of 53 m and the width of 10 m. The effective volume of reservoir is 28.741 million m3 while the volume of dead storage for 50 years service life is 22.553 million m3. Design rainfall was analyzed using the Log Pearson III distribution method and flood hydrographs were analyzed using SUH Nakayasu. The spillway was planned using PMP flood discharge of 2221,130 m3/s and a total length was 411,170 m. The type of spillway was side spillway with Ogee type of crest. The spillway consists of side channel, weir, transition channel, launch channel, and energy dissipation.
