Summary:As a maritime infrastructure, the port is one of the economic pillars in indonesia. The port can support sustainable development, if the current development is not harmful in the future. However, there are still problems that can arise from port activities as well as the environmental impacts that can occur from port activities themselves. This research is carried out in the form of a study to find out the operational port activities in Indonesia and analyze port operations in relation to sustainable development. In this research, descriptive analysis research methods are used which are reviewed from environmental, economic and social aspects. For the environmental aspect, an analysis is carried out based on the legal aspects, the implementation of pollution prevention in the Port Environment, and the pollution rate of the port. As for the economic and social aspects, an analysis is based on services, facilities and activities at the Port. Based on the study conducted, in the operational port activities there are legal aspects that govern its travel, in addition there are policies and activities to tackle pollution in the Port Environment. Services, facilities and activities at the Port are increasing every year. So, the operational port activities in Indonesia at this time can support sustainable development. However, it is still necessary to increase supervision of port activities and increase awareness of port users.
