The airline operation cost consists of fixed cost and variable cost. Fixed cost is a cost with fixed amount although the volume of production increases or decreases and variable cost is costs that depend on the number of produced output. <br /> <p align=\"justify\">For serving Denpasar-Jakarta flight route, PT. Merpati Nusantara Airline operate 6 (six) jet aircraft that are Airbus 310, Airbus 300, Boeing 737, Fokker 100, Fokker 28 and BAE146. <br /> <p align=\"justify\">With actual tariff Rp. 251.000,- and the exchange rate Rp. 5.300/US$, all aircraft types do not give any profit to the company. By increasing 35% from Rp. 251.000,- become Rp. 339.000,- for Denpasar destination only B-737 and F-100 aircraft types give profit to Merpati. <br /> <p align=\"justify\">With 53% tariff increase from Rp. 339.000,- to be Rp. 519.000; , aircraft types that give benefits to the company for Jakarta destination are B-737, F-100 and BAE146, while for Denpasar destination only A-310 aircraft type is not recommended to be used. <br /> <p align=\"justify\">For the future with exchange rate Rp. 5.300/US$ all aircraft types are still recommended with average load factor between 30% and 40%. <br /> <p align=\"justify\">The increase of exchange rate from Rp. 5.300,-/US$ to be Rp. 8.000,-/US$ effects on increasing operation cost. With that exchange rate all aircraft types to be recommended with average load factor between 40% and 60% for Denpasar and Jakarta destinations. text |
