But not all young people like the modernization of a culture or tradition, there are still many who are interested in the visualization of the past or old age. Also the case with the increasingly contemporary and modern wayang Kamasan Balinese painting culture. The wayang Kamasan painting is one of Indonesia's culture or arts. Wayang Kamasan art comes from the smallest district on the island of Bali, namely Klungkung, Kamasan village. This tradition is passed down from the royal era. Although wayang Kamasan painting still survives to this day, but in reality young people even those from Bali themselves do not know and understand the original Kamasan Balinese wayang art without touch of the results of contemporary and modern visual styles. The younger generation has a greater role to preserve. They have a greater chance to keep wayang Kamasan from being claimed by other countries as their culture. Therefore, designing animation filter of wayang Kamasan Bali based on Augmented Reality was created to introduce wayang Kamasan painting to the younger generation, especially to balinese youth themselves. This work will specifically cover wayang Kamasan Bali characters in Mandara Giri Mountain Epic, one of the typical stories in Balinese Hindu beliefs. Discussed through a 2D illustration and will be combined with augmented reality as visual technology development which existence has become lifestyle of many people. This design leads to facial recognition (filter) trends and integrates with the digital media platform that is favored by the target. With this design, the authors hope that the community especially the main target of the young generation of Bali can be exposed to Wayang Kamasan, thus might improving interest in learning and preserving, therefore can understand more clearly the character to be conveyed and most importantly the target is interested in implementing and learning. text |
