The 14th Goal of Sustainable Development Goals has less in common with the other 17 Goals, which mostly concern about poverty, hunger, inequality, health and education, while at the same time it covers them all. The difference is that the goal doesn’t really linkages, and it is more likely independent. Apart from that, the goal is mainly to talk about how marine resources can be used sustainably without being harmful to the environment itself. Therefore, the academic sector should be taken into account in order to accomplish the goal through its science capacity and analyticity. Geodesy and Geomatics Science will be very useful tools in creating sustainable use of oceans and furthermore will help to assist the government in decision making. The Principal of Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System will be the main discussion in order to help the implementation of 14th SDGs which will be explained in the technical aspects section. As it mentioned, the research processes of this paper also come up with recommendations for government and its policy through the discussion in the legal and institutional aspects. Through descriptive study, secondary data related to implementation of 14th SDGs in Australia, Netherlands, and China will be used to decide which implementation is suitable for Indonesia. The data will be proceeded using comparative tests to produce recommendations due to technical, legal, and institutional aspects regarding the implementations.
