Indonesian tourism industry which driven by cruise visits is a new opportunity to gaining state income. Therefore, currently cruise ports are needed in the areas that have tourism potentials especially for Indonesia that relatively new in a part of cruise tourism world. The challenge is to combine the functions of cruise terminal with the existing facilities through the revitalization of the existing port area that can have carrying capacity/capacity of tourist who come through cruise tourism or from the new development itself. The case of cruise terminal that is conducted in this thesis is the heritage port of Tanjung Tembaga in Probolinggo old town area. The current status of the Tanjung Tembaga Port has become one of the ports of call for cruise ship in Indonesian tourism destinations. Probolinggo has great potentials not only because of the heritage port of Tanjung Tembaga and its pendalungan culture, but also has natural tourism as the main gate to the Mount Bromo, Bromo-Tengger-Semeru National Park. For branding, this region has a good positioning from the bussiness view. This unique character is the main key that must be realized in designing the cruise ship port at the Tanjung Tembaga Heritage Port through the design approach.
