Summary: | <b>Abstract :</b><p align=\"justify\">This thesis describes the design and realization of a PC based system for application in puskesmas which include of the application module related to the maternal and children health care and Puskesmas Integrated Recording and Reporting System (SP2TP - System Pencatatan dan Pelaporan Terpadu Puskesmas). <br />
<p align=\"justify\">The developed system consists of hardware i.e : weight measurement module for the underfives (children under 5 years) and maternal, blood pressure, fetal heart rate detector and software i.e : SP2TP module, fundal height for pregnancy age calculation, nutrient status evaluation and software for hardware coordination. <br />
<p align=\"justify\">A Variable Resistor and a Linear Differential Transformer (LVDT) each applied as a weight sensor in modified bath scale for the weight measurement module. The blood pressure module uses a capacitive pressure sensor and piezoelectric element as Korotkoff sound detector. <br />
<p align=\"justify\">The main program has been specially developed using Delphi Developer 2.0 application. The database system was developed using Paradox Database available in Delphi Database Desktop. Regression method (using both stepwise linear and stepwise binomial regressions) have been employed for the analysis and prosessing the measurement results. <br />
<p align=\"justify\">Laboratory tests were done in Medical Electronics Laboratory, LabTek VIII Building, ITB and field tests were done in Puskesmas Talagabodas, Bandung. The result from both laboratory and field tests were encouraging although further refinements are still required. <br />
