| Summary: | The importance of trees in maintaining the environmental balance, especially in the urban environment, is the reason for the need for a tree inventory and management system. This study aimed to create a database and query management of trees, make distribution map of trees, and the calculation of biomass and carbon stocks at ITB Ganesha. Database design and query compilation will be done using PostgreSQL DBMS with PostGIS extension, while tree visualization will be done using Styled Layer Descriptor (SLD). The results obtained from this study, the database along with the query can help users to carry out tree management activities in accordance with the maintenance needs in the area. Then, the visualization of tree distribution data can be conveyed better and can be made to resemble the original appearance of the tree by using the description rules in SLD. Calculation of total biomass and carbon stock cannot be fulfilled due to limited tree diameter data, but it is possible to do calculations using queries that have been made in this study. |
