One of them is air pollution from the energy used in industrial sector. The preference of kind and intensity of energy uses in industry depend on price of energy. <br /> Energy price in Indonesia that is being determined by the Government through the President decree (Keppres) has not yet consider the fact that changing in energy price can influence emission from the manufacturing sector. With that condition, the government policy to change the energy price can decrease emission from manufacturing sector or vice versa. <br /> This study examines the influence of energy change to the change of all kind energy demand that used in manufacturing sector. Demand energy change because of the changing in energy price can effect the emission. For examines how much the influence of changing energy price to the emission is needed two kind of variables, that are demand price elasticity and energy emission coefficient. <br /> The result shows that the most elastic energy is kerosene. One percent changing in all kind of energy will cause the demand change of kerosene with the average 9,69%. The Most inelastic energy is HSDO (high speed diesel oil) with the average absolute change 0,21%. The result of energy price-emission elasticity shows that by increasing the price of energy can make the different change in emission. For example increasing price of gasoline can increase NOx emission but can reduce the TSP, SOx, and CO emission. <br /> Government can take these results as a consideration before made policy about energy price. Government can take environment aspect into account of energy price by subsidy or taxation the price of energy. text |
