Landusing activity on lower part of Mangkang river catchment area consist of industrial areas in a row with fishpond agriculture areas. The descriptive approach method with the basic analyzis of secondary data has been used in this research. The Mangkang river catchment area used as unit of analyzis, as a wider location of west Semarang industrial activity. Data analizing used by statistical method, especially to account the water resources balancing.<p align =\"justify\"> <br /> Water resources on Mangkang river catchment area consist of water supply by PDAM, surface water and groundwater. All of these used by people or domestic user, industrial activity, field-rice irrigation and fishpond irrigation. <br /> On the year of 2005 total water demand in west of Semarang is about 174 Million M3, while the total water supply 69 Million M3 only. Unbalanced condition between water supply and demand, will be cause depletion on groundwater reserve.<p align =\"justify\"> <br /> The water resources degradation, groundwater especially, can be hampered with directioning on expanded industrial location activity. Because water demand for industrial activity is very much and coverred by groundwater. The direction expanded industrial location divided became 2 areas, i.e : southern part location used by industrial activity with much water demand (over than 95 M3/day/Ha), and northern part location for industrial activity with few water (less than 95 M3/day/Ha). text
