The instrument called electrocardiograph and in this thesis called PC-ECG. <br /> <br /> The developed system consists of hardware and software. The hardware called ECG-modul, place in the external of the PC, communication betwen of them are used printer port (LPT). ECG-modul consists of: interface and data switch, instrumentation amplifier, filter and analog to digital converter, buffer amplifier and analog switch, and isolated power supply. <br /> <br /> The program has been developed consists of. display, data acquisition, signal processing, data base, and QRS detector. The language used to development all of the program are: C (Turbo C V-2.0) and C++ (Borland C++ Builder V-1.0). The program was developed, work under Windows\'95 and interaction with the user, use the graphical user interface (GUI) concept. <br /> <br /> Standard measurement in this research is the clinical 12 leads standard, with ten electrodes. Total direct measurements for this instrument are eight, i.e: standard lead I and III, and chest lead Cl until C6. The other leads, ie: aVL, ON, aVR and lead II, are obtained from calculation. The electrodes used the surface type. <br /> <br /> Laboratory tests were done in Medical Electronics Laboratoty, LABTEK VIII-ITB and Hasan Sadikin Hospital, departement of Instalasi Perawatan Sarana Rumah Sakit (IPRS). The result from both laboratory were encouraging although further refinements are still required. text
