INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/48630 As the world is entering Industry 4.0 Revolution – Digitalization Era, advance technologies become the key elements in life. They change the way people live, work, and interact. These changes alter the market’s behavior and need in all sectors. Companies from across sectors are competing in innovating and adapting the advance technologies to survive and win the competition, including the telecommunication sector. To survive and win the competition in this digitalization era, a company is required to be innovative. Successful innovation in product, process, or business model allows a company to achieve the competitive advantage (Rothaermel, 2017). Furthermore, innovation starts from the knowledge attached to a person or group of people (Torabi & El-Den, 2017). Therefore, to achieve competitiveness advantage, an effective knowledge management becomes important. In order to achieve the effective knowledge management, an assessment should be performed to evaluate the current condition of a company, identify the challenges, and plan the improvement. There are various methods that can be used for knowledge management assessment, however this research is focusing in utilizing the Asian Organization Productivity Organization (APO) KM Framework. The object of this research is PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia International (Telin), a subsidiary of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk (Telkom), it is a multinational telecom company which headquartered in Indonesia. With a vision of “to become the global digital hub”, Telin has 15 footprints in eleven countries. However, in today’s competitive world Telin faces challenges to be competitive internationally, especially due to lack of productivity & innovation capability. Considering the importance of knowledge, Telin’s management established the Knowledge Management & Compliance Unit in 2018 and the Knowledge Management (KM) System on January 2019. However, there has never been assessment conducted regarding knowledge management previously in Telin. Based on the assessment conducted in this research, it can be identified that Telin’s KM is on the 3rd (Expansion) Level which means that it has implemented knowledge management company-wide, however there has no continuous evaluation and improvement performed. Therefore, to enhance its current condition, Telin should establish comprehensive company’s KM policy, implement the KM process effectively, create a conducive learning & innovative environment, aligns company’s objective with the content & outcomes of KM System, and increase the value of knowledge for employees. text
