This study was to examine the variability of chlorophyll-a concentrations in Tomini Bay by relating the phenomenon of sea surface temperature, El Nino and La Nina. This research uses Aqua MODIS level 3 satellite imagery data. The range of data used is from 2003 to 2018. The research area is divided into Inner Tomini Bay and Outer Tomini Bay. The results showed that chlorophyll-a in Tomini Dalam Bay and Luar Tomini Bay in June-July-August, in Tomini Dalam Bay the highest value in JJA in 2003 reached 0.272 mg / m3 while in Tomini Outer Bay 0.343 mg / m3 in 2003. The chlorophyll-a variation in Outer Tomini Bay is higher than in Tomini Dalam Bay. The chlorophyll-a concentration with SST in Tomini Bay has a strong but inversely related relationship. The strongest relationship is in the Outer Tomini Bay. The effect of ENSO phenomenon on chlorophyll-a concentration in Tomini Bay has a low correlation, which is 0.05 for correlation in Tomini Dalam Bay and 0.23 for correlation in Tomini Outer Bay. text |
