Summary: | To produce effective and efficient production planning and control one of the ways that can be done is to make an efficient order execution arrangement with a good scheduling system. Scheduling is defined as making decisions about the activities that must be carried out and the resources needed to complete the work on time and with the desired quality. Workmanship arrangements in accordance with the proper order of work orders (routing) will be able to produce products in accordance with the expected quality and schedule taking into account the costs incurred from the production process associated with the product delivery schedule so as to reduce the cost of delays.
The results of the evaluation of late delivery of orders to customers are caused by delays in the completion of work in the detail part, especially in the machining area. So companies have to pay late fees due to late completion of the product. Because the process of using only the order of the process (work orders) that have been determined without any alternative choice of the order of the process (work orders) to complete the product to be produced, so the product delivery schedule can be in accordance with consumer demand
This study proposes a scheduling model using alternative work order sequences (routing) and process plans in order to obtain minimum production costs and also pay attention to shipping schedules to consumers, so as to reduce late costs, and increase company |
