This Phenomenon can affect main activities in coastal areas are agriculture and fisheries. The impact such as abrasion, seawater intrusion, and increase rainfall rates has occurred at Indramayu District. Apart from that climate change impact can affect social demography and economic conditions in the coastal area at Indramayu District. The purpose of this research is to analyze social demography and economic vulnerability in the coastal area at Indramayu District due to the impact of climate change and handling strategy. This research uses secondary data collection methodology. Three analytical methods are used: descriptive statistical analysis, scoring and weighting, and spatial analysis. In this study, using ten indicators to measure the level of vulnerability. Based on the research results obtained from a total of 41 villages for the level of population social demography vulnerability there are 11 villages (26.82%) have a low level of vulnerability, 20 villages (48.78%) have a medium level of vulnerability, with 3 indicators having a low level of vulnerability (elderly population, population density, and disabled population) and 2 indicators having a high level of vulnerability (disaster mitigation system and community institutions.) and 10 villages (24.39%) have a high level of vulnerability and for the level of economic vulnerability there is 2 village (4.87%) has a low level of vulnerability, 34 villages (82.92%) have a medium level of vulnerability, and 5 villages (12.19%) have a high level of vulnerability, with 2 indicators having a high level of vulnerability (economic facilities and type of work) and 1 indicator having a low level of vulnerability (poor population). There are several strategies used to reduce the level of vulnerability, namely: agricultural adaptation, the addition of disaster mitigation systems, providing community understanding, improving community institutions, and improving community welfare. Based on the results of the study it was found that the majority of coastal area in Indramayu District had a medium total vulnerability, with Pringgacala Village and Juntinyuat Village being the village that had a low total vulnerability. The spatial level of vulnerability assessment can be used by local governments to implement strategies to reduce the level of vulnerability, especially for villages that have a high vulnerability level. text
