Description
Summary:Increasing numbers of privately owned vehicle is causing traffic jams in Bandung especially during school hours. Solutions for this problem already exist in the shape of a free school bus established by the government and private school shuttle service, but these two solutions have the same problem that both of them does not fulfill the needs of primary school children on safety and comfort, and also these services are not utilitzed by the parents in Bandung. Through researching literatures about the needs of children inside a vehicle, and also the width of the road that the vehicle will cross then comparing it with conditions in the field, this research is intended to make a vehicle that fulfill those needs and be interesting for the parents to use as their child daily transportation to school. Result of this research comes in a shape of a vehicle that utilizes the compartmentalization from American school bus and combining it with a U shape layout that will facilitate children in commune with their fellow students, and also relax after a long day of learning and playing at school.
