Refers to RPJMN 2020-2024, the provision of safe and proper drinking water is one of the development priorities to realize economic development and improve basic services. Nowadays, drinking water supply is still not optimal where the scope of access to safe drinking water currently only reaches 72.04% which consists of a pipeline network of 18.27% and non-pipeline network of 53.77%. In the other side, the utilization of groundwater as water supply source for the community is still quite large at 46%. Based on performance report of Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM) year 2008, water supply service is not optimal where the coverage of PDAM services still under 100%, such as in Jakarta is 62.22%, Bogor is 88.73%, Depok is 16.39%, Tangerang is 15.56%, and Bekasi is 22, 89%. The utilization of shallow groundwater as a water supply source have to in attention to water quality conditions. It is caused by the quality of ground water as one of the main considerations in the administration of drinking water investment. This research intends to map the quality of shallow groundwater in supporting investment in drinking water supply in the study area of the Metropolitan Area (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi). The methods in this study is identifying characteristic of study area, analysis of shallow groundwater quality status, environmental spatial analysis, and analysis of drinking water supply investment scenarios. The results showed that Jabodetabek has four water supply investment scenarios. Each scenario consists of some strategies which is focused on three main policies, namely development policy, financing policy, and institutional governance policy. text
