| Summary: | The transportation system began to develop following the development of technology
and changes in the system of human socio-economic activities. Increasingly high
community mobility, of course, requires transportation facilities that can facilitate
movement quickly, safely, and comfortably. The emergence of online transportation is
a response to the needs of today's society. However, the presence of online
transportation has an impact on the pattern of existing community movements
including college students who have many activities. The number of movements that
increase indirectly increases the generation of traffic flows which results in
congestion. This study aims to see changes in the movement patterns of undergraduate
students of ITB who are active in the Ganesha Campus before and after using online
transportation. Where the data collection in this study took the form of observations
and questionnaires. Based on observations note that online transportation demand is
very high in the Ganesha campus area. Information obtained that online
transportation is the most widely used transportation mode by students today. Besides,
after using online transportation, there are changes in movement patterns that can be
seen based on distance, frequency, time, and travel cost variables. The distance of the
students travels further, especially for movement with the intention of entertainment.
Students also increasingly make movements, especially for movements with the
intention of entertainment. There is a shift in the time students make the movement and
travel time becomes shorter. Also, after using online transportation, travel costs are
more expensive than before. |
