description The amount of organic waste predicted to increase due to the increasing number of the human population on earth. Organic waste can be harmful if it is not managed properly. For saving the earth from further destruction, all of the people around the world should change their method of managing organic waste with composting. However, in Indonesia, the most common method to process organic waste is piling it up on the landfill or open dumping. This activity is very concerning and dangerous because that kind of method can release a lot of methane gasses to the atmosphere and can be destructive for the earth in the long term because it worsens the effect of global warming. Therefore, there should be solutions for this phenomenon to prevent further damage to the environment and the tragic accident. The Government of Bandung already actualizes a campaign called KangPisMan to create a sustainable environment. Composting is one of the methods that KangPisMan promotes in campaign activities. On the other hand, it predicted that the number of people who care about the environment would keep rising from year to year—ironically based on the data from the minister of forestry in Indonesia, only 7% of people in Indonesia who use composting as the method to manage organic waste. Therefore, PASMA, as a business that cares about environmental issues, will develop a compost bin with features desired by users to use it continuously so that it can help reduce the destructive effects of climate change and create a sustainable environment. This research wants to find the right solution for society to use composters continuously to process organic waste properly to create a sustainable environment. In addition, PASMA will find the best way to develop its products and contribute to creating a sustainable environment. However, the lack of research and data regarding people's reasons for not using composting as the method to treat organic waste makes it difficult for PASMA to create a business strategy to sell the compost bin. Hence, to find a solution, the researcher will look for goals from people who do not want to use composting, stop using composting, and always use composting by analyzing literature reviews and in-depth interviews. After conducting the research, the cause of people not wanting to use composting as a method for treating organic waste is a lack of concern for the environment. Also, they did not know the benefits of composting because they did not feel that composting would benefit them. They think that composting does not solve their daily life problems because they think that the process of composting activities will only complicate themselves. Based on these results of the research, the researcher made several solutions to change the way people treat organic waste. The researcher creates solutions with the guide of the modern customers’ journey map. After the researchers found several solutions, the researcher re-analyzed the solutions to find one solution that was truly useful for PASMA and could increase the use of composting. The researcher re-analyzed the solutions based on PASMA business conditions, social conditions in the COVID-19 pandemic, and with the modern consumer journey maps. The results of the analysis, PASMA must increase public awareness about the bad effects of organic waste if it is not processed properly, the importance of using composting, and improve the brand image of PASMA in the community before selling PASMA products. The way to actualize this solution is to create content and campaigns on the PASMA Instagram page. Also, PASMA must collaborate with several influencers, businesses, and organizations that are in line with PASMA's vision and mission. In helping to create a sustainable environment, PASMA suggests that the government will take more firm actions to society. In addition, in the future, the researcher suggests further research on how to change people's habits in processing waste from a psychological perspective. The researcher suggests to change the way people treat organic waste thoroughly, it will be more efficient to also use psychological strategies together with business strategies.
