Description
Summary:Fashion is considered as the second most contributor to the economic growth in Indonesia after culinary. In the fashion industry, there are smaller sector that are growing in the past ten years which is rugged menswear industry. Having experience as being one of the brands in the industry, the founder of Selectedgoods felt there are gap between the leading brands and the small brands in the industry. Selectedgoods saw the significant gap occurring in the industry and established to help and aid the small brands to be able to compete with the leading brands in the industry. Selectedgoods provides them a platform in the form of website e-commerce. The website is used to help the brand reach its customers and gather enthusiasts in one platform. In order to achieve so many things using one website, it is necessary to make the website interface to be attractive and interesting for the users. Based on this study, it shows that the root cause of Selectedgoods are poor performance of their internal team and have not done market test which makes the company does not understand the customer preference about rugged menswear web design. Without having knowledge and experience in developing a website, it is possible for Selectedgoods to create a platform with a substandard system and design, which might affect user experience. Therefore, this research is done to determine and plan the website interface design according to the customer preferences for the improvement of customer satisfaction and customer experience towards the website. Based on the data collected using two methods–in-depth interview and a survey, it shows that in the form of design and typography, the consumers prefer the website to be personalized to its brand. They also like a clean-looking or neat-looking layout and like interactive features such as forum, weekly articles, and a chat feature. From the result, there are four alternative solutions proposed in this study. The alternative solutions then is analyzed to determine the optimum solution to solve the problem by using the decision matrix. Then, the implementation plan for the second alternative design is scheduled for Selectedgoods. Overall of this research will be used for the improvement and evaluation for Selectedgoods company from industry analysis to the internal team analysis.
