Gas distribution from production wells to consumers in West Java is done by Pertamina Exploration and Production Karangampel through a transshipment network modelled with capacitated links and a series of nodes divided into five groups, i.e : source, consumer, junction, source & junction, consumer & junction. To optimize gas distribution in the capacitated network two models are developed, i.e a model to minimize gas distribution cost, and a model to maximize revenue. Solution to the two kind of models is done by making the models as a linear programming problem. Two Phase Simplex Method is used to solve the problem. <br />

The system is developed using evolutionary prototyping approach which is limited to only 2 cycles in this research. In the first cycle, the system development is focused to crake gas distribution cost minimizing model in transportation network. In the second cycle, mazimizing revenue model in transshipment network is the main topic besides improving distribution cost minimizing model that has already been developed in the first cycle. <br />

The result of this research is a software prototype: Gas Distribution Decision Support System which has two abilities of solving problem, minimizing gas distribution cost and maximizing revenue. The sistem is developed using programming language Microsoft Visual Basic Professional Edition Version 5.00 and database Microsoft Access 97. Models are tested by verifying every tableu produced by the system in each iteration of Two Phase Simplex Method. <br />

As a conclusion, decision support system developed in this research can give an optimum gas flow combination information in accord with the chosen model. <br />
