Global Positioning System (GPS) is one of the systems used for navigation. However, GPS has the disadvantage of indoor uses. The need for indoor navigation becomes a separate requirement such as the use of navigation in malls, office buildings, hospitals, and buildings consisting of several rooms or locations. Therefore, we need a system that has a better ability to navigate in space. The use of RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) is one solution. RSSI is a measurement of the signal strength received by a wireless device. In this case, the author uses a WiFi router to transmit the signal and smartphone as an RSSI reader to the signal. The use of a WiFi router has the advantage that the device is available in many places. The RSSI value is converted to distance using the Log-normal Shadow Modeling method. After that, the study area was divided into 28 areas and determined the RSSI value of each area, then saved into the identity (fingerprint) of each area. Each area will compare the stored RSSI value with the RSSI value that is read in real-time by the user. This is then used as a benchmark for the user's location. From the user's location and the user's destination location, determined the route that needs to be passed to reach the destination location using computing. These features are displayed in the form of an RSSI-based navigation application on an Android smartphone. text
