The purpose of this experiment is studying performance and kinetic of WAO in treating high COD wastewater.<p align=\"justify\"> <br /> <br /> <br /> Wine and spiritus industry wastewater is used in this experiment. The equipment used is a stirred autoclave with an automatic control. The experiment includes batch and semi batch operations. The batch operation is pretreatment for the wastewater, conducted in 55 bars, 2 hours, and oxygen-free. The semi batch operation processes batch operation output. Its variables are temperature (150-250°C), compressed air pressure (10-20 bars), and operation duration (0-60 minutes). The analyses include solid, liquid, and gas phase analysis.<p align=\"justify\"> <br /> <br /> <br /> The result are performance parameters as COD reduction and fuel value, and kinetic parameters as Li et. al. (1991) rate constants and point selectivity. The COD reduction in pretreatment operation is 47%. COD reduction in semi batch operations is about 8-40%. It means that the operations produce about 1.6-18.7 Btu/gal.min. k1 and k2 rate constants are about 0.007-2.173/min, and k3 rate constant is about 10\'9-10-8/min. Point selectivity value is about 1.5-7.5. It means that the reaction is selective in producing carboxylic acid than end product of oxidation.<p align=\"justify\"> <br /> <br /> text
