The Asian economic crisis has hit many Asian country economic foundation including the industries as one of the economic pillar. But the industries has his own way to survive and telecommunication is still one of the most promising industry in Indonesia due to the unbalanced demand and supply. The opportunity to fill-in the demand must be reached by the company by evaluating their performance through the inward looking to find their inner strengths, and outward looking to find their weaknesses on their business strategy. In this case, VF. TELNIC as a future oriented company need to reformulate their business strategy to survive from the crisis and entering the new era with very challenging business competition.<p align="justify"> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The proposed business strategy-formulation is approached with several strategic matrices that chosen from references, i.e. EFE and WE matrix, I-E matrix, SPACE matrix and Grand Strategy matrix. These matrices are developed based on analysis result of internal strengths and weaknesses and external opportunities and threats, that critically affect the company business. Weight and rating will be given on those factors accordingly. Matching external and internal critical success factor on those matrices will effectively generate feasible alternative strategy that match with company position and appropriate to pursue.<p align="justify"> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> As a result, the proposed business strategy heavily emphasize on product development and market penetration strategy that use and strengthen company core competence in product handling and system engineering skill in order to yield customized products that suitable with customers need. These strategies are supported by generic strategy : differentiation through product innovation, with focusing strategy for traffic light and management system product line.
