Description
Summary:To create a building, it needs information about the structure of the subsurface of the soil so that the foundations of the building remain strong and sturdy. Therefore, it takes a method to obtain the information. One of the surveys used in this thesis is the survey using the downhole seismic method which aims to determine the subsurface structure of the soil with the F-K Filter method to eliminate tube waves. The subsurface structure of the soil can be detected by using downhole seismic method because to make construction planning, S wave (shear wave velocity) is required as a reference for predicting ground movement. Moreover, this method is suitable for the small area. Downhole Seismic method is a method that evokes P wave (pressure wave) and S wave which then be detected by the sensor at a certain depth so it can be done interpretation of the structure of the layer. This method uses a hammer that is struck onto a plate to evoke a wave which then be detected by the geophone and will be recorded by Seistronix RAS-24. Data retrieval is carried out from a depth of 30 meters to 1 meter with increments of 1 meter for each P wave and S wave. Results of the data obtained will be filtered by using F-K filter methods to remove the tube waves so first time travel of S wave can be picked accurately. S wave will be the reference to determine the structure of layers in that location.
