That makes Bandung one of the most popular destinations of urbanization for a lot of West Java
people, even people from outside the province. The main subject of this phenomenon is the
productive age group, but high demand and high sale rate of land resulting in a new need for
residential vertical housing that suitable for the productive age group with its diverse characteristics.
With the facts above, a serviced apartment will be designed in the city of Bandung. The location
itself is in Aceh Street, Bandung, a populous and popular urban area. Constructed in a site of
approximately 4.900 m2
, this serviced apartment will introduce a concept called co-living, which is a
new approach to rental housing in Bandung. The main developer of this serviced apartment is Lyf, a
company specialized in hospitality that serves under Ascott Limited, a famous real estate company
from Singapore.
The result is U-NITY, a serviced apartment with “Integrated Urban Co-Living” as its main concept.
This project consists of one building mass with ten main floor levels and one basement. It also offers
a total of 144 rental residential units under three categories: studio unit, one-bedroom unit, and a
two-bedroom unit. Besides rental residential units, this project also includes special facilities for
residents and non-residents with an understanding of the social context that will contribute to
creating a positive urban community.
