Faced with this condition, Leaders also must be able to adapt quickly to new technology to prepare adequately for Industry 4.0. Leader is the one who provide direction and build a vision that inspires and create new opportunities for the company to maintain the competitive advantages. For this reason, the leadership development program at PT Alfathan Energi must be adjusted to the external and internal conditions of the company, because if it is not improved in accordance with the rapid pace of social and economic change and the influx of new technologies disruption, the results would be ineffective.
This thesis is focused on formulating a leadership development program to help PT Alfathan Energi to develop their employee to better adapt digital transformation. Therefore, to provide a good recommendation, this thesis is using a framework which is supported by academic literature using qualitative data and quantitative data that has been checked for validity and reliability.
In formulating the leadership development program at PT Alfathan Energi, the first step is to understand the current company digital transformation stage by using the concept from previous research that has been carried out by Altimeter. Next is to examine the characteristic of the current leaders in PT Alfathan Energi by using Technology Readiness Index method, and then further analysis by using SWOT, TOWS matrix, IFAS&EFAS calculations, and SWOT diagram.
This research then proposed leadership development program which has been combined with the corporate leadership development framework and details of the program are also structured with a time frame for the implementation to make this program run well. |
