| Summary: | One of the important things for human being to have is buildings. All activities of human will be using building. Therefore, building safety must be considered and guaranteed in terms of security and safety. The government make a regulation of building requirement so they will maintain the requirement well. To make sure that people will follow the rule, government instruct local government to look after the implementation by produce a document called “Izin Mendirikan Bangunan”. One of the cities that has issued this document is Kota Cimahi. The purpose of this study is to look at readiness of Kota Cimahi to carry out the produce of “Izin Mendirikan Bangunan” and the human resources who carry it out. The data needed in this study was laws that organize buildings safety and “Izin Mendirikan Bangunan” and interview from the executor, “Dinas Penanaman Modal dan Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu”. The result of this study are the level of implementation of checking building effectiveness, the readiness of human resource to carry out the checking progress, and the obstacles that affect implementation of “Izin Mendirikan Bangunan”.
