Tourism is an industry that has been able to grow continuously without set back. The effects of tourism growth can be seen in many sectors, such as job creation, which increases every year due to high employment in the tourism industry. The demand and growth of the tourism industry continue to grow, especially among Millennials with the most expenditure values. Indonesia plans a strategic program under the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, to enhance the image, competitiveness, and contribution of tourism in supporting the improvement of people's welfare and quality economic growth, which then establishes the Kawasan Pariwisata Strategis Nasional (KSPN) and designates five destinations as super-priority destinations One of them is Borobudur. Tourism has become one of the most profitable growth engines for the global economy, so management in this sector struggles every year to attract more tourists to their region. However, in every development of the tourism industry, positive and negative impacts can occur. Tourist visits to the Borobudur temple indeed increase every year, but, according to experts, this increase harms the temple because the Borobudur temple has an overloaded capacity, which causes the foundation stone of Borobudur cane erodes. Damage to the temple is also caused by undisciplined tourists in obeying the rules that apply in the temple area. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a strategy for the management of Borobudur and all stakeholders by prioritizing development and integrating areas around Borobudur temples such as the Balkondes tourism village as an ecosystem. In designing the strategy, researchers need motivational factors for tourists to visit obtained from semi-structured interviews with nine respondents from tourists and various business units in the Borobudur temple area. Using qualitative analysis shows that the factors that influence tourists to visit are perceived quality factors compared to perceived cost, whether it will provide value for tourism. Researchers propose a thematic tourism management model that integrates Borobudur and Balkondes tourism villages as a themed ecosystem. text
