Taka Bonerate National Park in the Selayar Islands Regency, South Sulawesi Province, the third-largest underwater coral reef atoll in the world, is one of the leading tourism destinations in South Sulawesi. Because the location has a beautiful nature and also function as a place of tourism, accommodation in the form of the resort hotel is needed to accommodate tourists who come. It was built on Tinabo Besar Island as a gateway to the national park by carrying out the concept of an environment-based resort so that it needs an environmentally friendly design or eco-design by paying attention to cultural elements of the Bugis-Makassar tribe and the application of maritime architecture (shipping) in its design. Also, to provide an interesting experience for visitors, special facilities are provided that support visitors stay overnight while enjoying the underwater beauty of Taka Bonerate.
