Description
Summary:Tourism, one of the pillars of economical development in Indonesia, this field have c contributes to earning many foreign exchange and community employment opportunities. The top three provinces that contribute the most to tourists that came to Indonesia are Central Java. Tourist attractions (DTW) in the province include Event Tourism, Special Interest Tourism, Artificial Tourism, Cultural Tourism, and Nature Tourism. Wonosobo Regency as one of the areas included in the Province of Central Java has tourism potential that can be developed, namely Nature Tourism with the dominance of mountain tourism, Traditional Tourism in which there are Traditional Culinary with 141 types of traditional food, Cultural Rites consisting of 43 24 pieces of traditional arts, and 18 festivals. Human Resources (SDM) Wonosobo Regency which is engaged in tourism is quite enthusiastic with more than 597 independent communities, and there are still many unregistered communities. However, from all this potential, it turns out that in 2018 Wonosobo Regency only contributed 2.15% of all tourists who came to Central Java in 2018. This is very unfortunate considering all the tourism potential possessed by Wonosobo Regency. Knowing these problems, the authors conducted a problem analysis which then strengthened the facts from the field obtained by the authors from conducting several research methods. Namely, the first is data using qualitative methods, interviews, and field surveys. The facts obtained show the problems regarding tourism in Wonosobo, the errors of several points, namely: 1) Lack of publication of tourism potential for tourists. 2) The absence of massive guidance to the Tourism Activist Community. 3) Arts and culture have not become an industry that produces welfare. 4) The absence of synergy from the local government, academics, and the community (tourism activists in Wonosobo Regency). The results obtained from carrying out the research method above are that it is necessary to build facilities that support cultural activities and community development in Wonosobo Regency, with the aim of: As a center for tourism development in Wonosobo Regency by means of massive fostering of tourism activist communities, so that integration is formed. between institutions and communities in tourism development in Wonosobo Regency. As an effective publication and information facility for tourists who come to Wonosobo Regency.
