INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/49406 The livestock subsector has an important role in the economy of Indonesia, especially poultry as a provider of animal protein which increasing. Ducks have potential as a source of animal protein which is widely favored by the community because its unique texture. The main problem in poultry farming is animal feed expense is very high. The usage of Hermetia illucens or Black Soldier Fly (BSF) in the livestock world has begun to be popular as an organic waste bioconversion agent. In addition, combinations with bran, Eichhornia crassipes, and wasted rice are commonly used. This study aims to determine the differences in the proximate content of feed formulations against commercial feed, determine the differences due to formulation of commercial feed with the growth speed parameters which are Weight Gain (WG), Daily Weight Gain (DWG), Average Daily Gain (ADG), Relative Consumption Rate (RCR), Relative Growth Rate (RGR) and Final Weight (FW), and determine formulated feeds that have similar performance to commercial feeds. This research was conducted in Legok Badak Village RT 03 RW 10 Jatiendah Village, Cilengkrang District, Bandung District. The obtained data compiled by usingMicrosoft Excel 2019 software and data processing by IBM Statistics 26. The results shows that the highest water proximate characteristics in Feed D, the highest ash proximate in Feed A, the highest protein proximate in Feed E, the highest fiber proximate in Feed C, the highest fat proximate in Feed A, the highest Nitrogen-Free Extract proximate in Feed D, the highest metabolic energy in Feed E. There are only significant difference in weight gain (WG) and final weight (FW) as shown by Feed E resembling Feed A. The results show that Feed E formulation is capable to replace or resemble the performance of Feed A (commercial feed). text |
