Subdistrict of Lembang, in North Bandung area, has to pay attention especially in developing its area. It is need to this, because its uses for Bandung recharging area. It has internal potential, such as beautiful sight and strategic location , because it is passed by corridor Jakarta-Bandung. That\'s why its population and housing is being increased. The high demand of housing make some convertion and deviation of land use to land suitability. The objective study is giving the land use direction of Lembang subdistrict development which base on land suitability.<p align=\"justify\"> <br />
This study uses qualitative analysis method. It means, making comparation between real situation and suitable land criteria. It\'s criteria are slope stability, rainfall, soil , the effective of land and soil texture.<p align=\"justify\"> <br />
According to study result, the subdistrict of Lembang has to suitable area like 3083.02 hectare (29.03%) to conservation area and 7536.99 hectare (77.97%) to using land area. There are 4 (four) kinds of combinational land suitability, such as plantation and mix field area; mix field area; rice field and mix field area; housing, cattle breeding, and mix field area. From the result of land suitability analysis and existing of land use, the comparation between suitable land and unsuitable land is 98.21% : 1.79%. This comparation show that existing of land use has already suitable with suitability land analysis. Unsuitable of land use in the study area are deviation of conservation area where is dominated by mix field and the deviation of using land area where is dominated by housing.<p align=\"justify\"> <br />
For keeping the subdistrict of Lembang as a recharge area, has to base on the result of suitability analysis, such as physical environment direction and institutional direction. |
