Summary:Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) are concerned for its sustainability and growth which contribute to Indonesian economic growth and provide more employment opportunities for Indonesian. Surprisingly, even though the number of business units is growing throughout the year, data from BPS shows the growth does not always align with the employment absorption. Data from the Ministry of Cooperativeness Indonesia in 2017 to 2018, Medium Enterprises (ME) has the highest declining growth rate for employment for 13,81 percent. Based on the life cycle of SMEs, SME are suggested to maintain their business growth rate, stabilizing in maturity and not to fall at the decline phase as the changes occurs in business environment. This study aims to understand the change management of SME creative industry organizational model which cover the strategy, structures, process, rewards, and people. This study conducted in Bandung city by using the explanatory mixed method for data collection which consist of questionnaires (quantitative methods) and in-depth interviews (qualitative methods). The respondents from questionnaire consist of 33 owners or managers of SME creative industry while the informants taken in the interview were 5 owners or managers of SME creative industry (included 33 respondents from questionnaire). In analyzing data, statistics descriptive is used for quantitative and followed up by cross-case analysis to focus in comparing and combining statements from each question given to all informants from interview to gain comprehensive understanding of change management in SME creative industry. Based on this study, SME creative industry is adaptive in respond to changes occurring in the business environment. Nevertheless, SME owners or managers is recommended to puts prioritize on human resources management to provide adequate resources in order to drive change initiatives successfully.
